VOLTŪ Undercover Hardscape Light

VOLT'sŪ Undercover Hardscape Light is a precisely engineered low-profile fixture that fits under overhangs in a variety of applications. This durable low voltage light is constructed of cast brass with antique bronze finish. The attached mounting bracket facilitates installation under architectural and landscape features such as railings, capstones on retaining walls, counter tops (for outdoor kitchens), columns, and window ledges. With premium internal components, the fixture is completely sealed for protection from moisture. The frosted lens diffuses the light for a wide uniform region of illumination.

This is a nice product and very well made.  It is studier than I would have expected and the wiring and wiring sleve are well thought out.

I had to fire the lighting contractor because of poor performance and was left with a new masonry wall with an overhanging cap.  The installation of this product was difficult, but not impossible, because I had to cut away enough masonry to have the product slide in under the cap.  

If you are doing this installation yourself make sure the wall cap is not installed until these lights are installed.  You will save yourself a lot of problems.  But this is not a slam of the lights; more of just a heads up to fellow amateur installers.

Super durable , waterproof brass construction!  Looks great with our retaining wall!  With 20 watt equivalent LED light, approx 10 ft between fixtures gives nice, soft effect!

These light fixtures look and feel great.   Very heavy metal.  My contractor and electrician are very impressed.   If Volt would fix two things,  these would be perfect.  The socket for the minibulb in the fixture is centered in the fixture leaving the actual light source offset by about the length of the bulb.   It is obvious to us OCD types, that the light does not emanate from the center of the fixture but instead it is offset.   Future designs would benefit from having the socket set over to  the right by the length of the average sized bulb.   Also,  the sockets are fairly loose when used with locally sourced bulbs.   Volt says their bulbs have thicker pins and do not fall out of the sockets.   It would be nice if the sockets could be designed to accommodate "big box" bulbs.

I have installed 33 of these lights on my patio under the seating walls and outdoor kitchen counter and it has done wonders to highlight the stone veneer. They were exactly what I had been searching for.  These lights have surpassed my expectation with the sold construction and perfect amount of lighting.  I had a bulb blow out and Volt  send a replacing immediately at no charge.


Volt is where I am coming back for any future lighting needs.  The products are definitely worth it, even more so than some big name brands.
