This stake is far superior to the plastic stakes, especially if the light gets bumped when mowing. Very solid, and easy to install.

A great upgrade - especially in areas where the lights are exposed to traffic and landcare.  Have had problems however with the solid brass stake threading into the light fixture due to interference issues.

These spikes are wonderful in all ways except they don't have a cut out that allows the wire to be slid in through the side while it's connected to the light.  This feature would make replacement of plastic spikes with brass spikes significantly simpler. If these were designed as the plastic spikes but made out of brass they would be perfect.

These stakes are highest quality, heavy duty brass construction.  The threading is perfect for landscape lighting stem mounts.  These have excellent length underground for stability and have a fairly wide  blade profile for angling through the dirt and turf!

Each stake also includes a hex nut recessed into the threaded end so that once the stem is mounted the hex screw can be tightened to lock the light stem or fixture.  Each stake comes with a spare set screw and hex key.  

Lastly, there is and access cutout that has ample room to string the electrical leads...this is not clear in the photos on the site.

All in all, these are the highest quality stakes that can be found and at a great price point.  Do not waste your money or time with the plastic stakes as you will not be disappointed with these!!

If you were to buy the Volt products make sure you get the solid brass ground stakes. You won't go wrong.

Wish I bought the metal spikes initially. Much stronger than the plastic ones and the screw threads hold up much better.

Good solid product.|A design improvement would be to have a slit in the threads so that it could be used for retrofit applications without having to resplice the lighting cable.
