Just bought a number of these an they shine exactly like the Halogen ones did that I replaced.  My choice to replace was to reduce the overall wattage consumption in order to expand the system on the same transformer.  They work great.

Update: these lamps now come with thicker bi-pins, which definitely helps ensure a good connection (especially in older fixtures).  Also many thanks to VOLT's lifetime warranty; I've had a few fail, but all were replaced without an issue - thanks (and well worth the price)!
This large bi-pin LED is a perfect fit to replace the halogens in our existing path lights.  Previous LEDs we purchased were nowhere near as well made.  When I saw the high quality of this G4 LED, I purchased 40 immediately.  Well done!

Although my application was downlighting only, the design of these bulbs is such that they give good light in all directions.  This is critical for may applications, and is not always the case with LEDs.

Other sources sold bulbs for less, so I was pleased to see the the quality of this was really good; better than most I've seen before.  There are 33 LEDs in each bulb, including 3 across the top!

If you like the warmth of incandescent lighting, the 2700K version is perfect.

There is no way the CRI is 80-85 as they claim.  The fact that they give a range and don't even know the exact number shows says something.  I'm using it outdoors for a wall wash and it has no warmth at all. I wouldn't even call it 2700K. Brightness is ok.

SOLVED (VOLT Customer Service 17-Mar-2016) - Identified that this issue was the result of use with a DC transformer. All VOLT® low voltage LED landscape lighting bulbs are intended for use with magnetic AC transformer power sources.

I've had these for about a week and I am putting them in as my old halogen bulbs fail.  If I have to tap the light to make the old bulb come out, I replace with the LED. So I have a situation with LED right next Halogen and there is absolutely no visible difference.  I love the idea that not only will these LED's out live me, the also consume way less power.
