I bought these and several on the Ultra-Realistic moving flame models.   Go with the Ultras, not these.  They have flicker mode but they all just dim and brighten in a simultaneous, steady, slow rate.

Overall we (me and the wife) are satisfied with these candles.  I do agree with another person that the flicker is more of a dimming and brightening effect.  One candle by itself and it's noticeable.  However put two or more together and they look fine.  The remote control and timer features are great. Easy on and off and not having to pick up each candle to turn on or off. These are a permanent decoration in our family room and sun room and we use them most evenings.

I have enjoyed the candles and especially the remote. One comment is that the lights do not flicker, they only dim. I have incandescent bulbs that do flicker. I don't know what it will take to get a realistic flicker. Overall I am satisfied.

Having purchased from Volt before, I expected a good product.  Upon opening the candles I was very happy with the quality, realism and light function .  I will recomend these to anyone.

The candles are very nice - big, realistic wax, light color is nice, amount of light is nice.  The only bad aspect is the "flicker".  Not realistic at all - basically a strobe light.  We have other candles with a very realistic flicker.  Not these.  If the flicker doesn't matter to you, then the candles are very nice and well priced.  Remote works well.

2 of 5 Not so Realistic 'Flicker'... October 29, 2015

Ordered 15 of these, thinking they would make great Christmas gifts for our company.  They arrived very quickly.  I opened up one to test it, and was very disappointed in the 'Flicker'.  The 'Flicker' is actually nothing more than the bulb going from bright to dim, at the same speed.  Not very realistic, in my opinion...for sure if they are all doing it at once...Looks more like a pulsating light, which is not very much like a real candle.  Perhaps this is normal for flameless candles, I really haven't bought others before, so maybe my expectations were unrealistic...

They don't look to bad if they are on the 'Light' mode (instead of candle), but I didn't want a light, I wanted a candle.  

So, I'm returning 14 of them.  They did offer to pay for the return shipping, based on my disappointment, for which I thank them.
